Catch the 8:20 morning train from the Athens Railway Station, at 42 Deligianni Str., and get your cameras ready as you travel through the scenic Greek countryside on your way to the small traditional town of Kalambaka. Good to know

  • All the mentioned prices are per person for two or more participants. In case of one traveler the single supplement option has to be chosen.
  • The train for Kalambaka departs from the Athens Rail Station, located at 46 Deligianni Street. You will need to individually arrive at the station at 08:00 with your printed train tickets at hand. A few days prior to the trip, you will receive an e-mail with the e-tickets.
  • Reservations are accepted 48 hours prior to the tour.

Tips by a local

When entering the Meteora monasteries, appropriate attire is required as per the monastic and humble way of life atop these grounds of religious faith. It is required for ladies not to sport short skirts nor sleeveless tops as it is also required by the gentlemen not to wear shorts. Although the option for borrowing cover-up garments is foreseen at the monastery entrances, we recommend that you take the above into consideration.
