We will start off our electrifying evening right down where the heart beats to the academy award winning “The children of Piraeus”, composed by Manos Hatzidakis and beautifully performed by Melina Merkouri, in the acclaimed 1960s romantic comedy “Never on Sunday”. The historical port of Piraeus is where the main character, personifying an ode to “joie de vivre”, sings “If I search the world over, I’ll find no other port which has the magic of my Port Piraeus”.

Heading out on our luxury bus, from the main port of Greece, we will pass by important landmarks such as the City Hall and the Archaeological Museum, as well as popular hot spots for jet-setters and locals, such as the picturesque Mikrolimano and Zea marina. In ancient times, 196 triremes of the Athenian fleet would dock here, naturally sheltered by the Harbor.

Gaze out your window at the vibrant capital by night, as we pass by the illuminated historical sites of the Temple of Olympian Zeus, the National Garden, the Hellenic Parliament, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Catholic Cathedral, the Athens Neoclassical Trilogy and the Old Parliament, currently the National Historical Museum.

As we leave the floodlit grandeur of those venues behind us, disembark under the star-lit sky in the “Gods’ district”, the exceptionally stunning Plaka. Step through a time portal into the past as you stroll around its paved narrow paths imbued with the beauty and elegance of old houses of neoclassic colors and their well preserved gardens.

We hope you have built up an appetite as one of the most beloved tavernas in the old town awaits us, with a live show of traditional Greek folk dances and live bouzouki music. Relish in the variety of traditional Athenian cuisine and “mezes” and get up off of your seat to dance the night away in a classic Greek feast and night full of entertainment!
